Having your work sold through Nina Campbell is quite a coup, but KLC School of Design student Sabine Gern has achieved just that. Having won a competition held by KLC and Nina, Sabine has designed a five-piece collection available at the interior designer’s stores. Influenced by Nina’s own pieces, the Fitzgerald collection includes a bookcase, a media cabinet, a bar chest and the drinks cabinet.
Sabine Gern, winner of a recent student design competition held by the KLC School of Design and Nina Campbell, has now had her Fitzgerald furniture collection realised. Made in grey sycamore with a subtle veneer finish, the five new pieces have a distinctive Art Deco feel. We love the understated glamour of the elegant drinks cabinet, which combines form and function perfectly.
When Nina Campbell invited KLC School of Design students to design furniture echoing her signature style, Sabine Gern was the standout winner. The Fitzgerald Collection features a media cabinet, drinks cabinet, bar chest, bookcase and two-drawer chest. We particularly admire the drinks cabinet, which is Art Deco in style and features the curved legs of Campbell’s Joan and Betty tables.
To nurture the next generation of talent, Nina Campbell invited students from KLC School of Design to create a range of furniture. Sabine Gern’s winning entries developed Nina’s iconic Joan dressing table and Betty bedside tables into an Art Deco-style drinks cabinet, bar chest, book case, media cabinet and commode crafted in England using silver birch with subtle veneer finish.
